AvMap has been the Italian manufacturer of intelligent electronics since 1994. In 30 years of activity, AvMap has led the development of GPS technology in every sector of mobility.

AvMap was founded in 1994 in Carrara, Tuscany, within the TWS group, active in the assisted navigation sector since 1984, and which at the time included C-MAP, the world leader in electronic cartography technology. AvMap debuted in the professional aeronautical market with the EKP, a successful flight navigation system sold all over the world.

Soon after, AvMap transferred its experience in electronic cartography from the aeronautical sector to the terrestrial one, becoming a pioneer in satellite navigation solutions and fleet localization systems. AvMap's activities then extended to precision agriculture, automotive electronics, telematics and IoT in any environment.

The SMASH Research and Development project

AvMap takes part in the SMASH project with the aim of creating a collaborative, modular and integrated robotic ecosystem for the monitoring and sustainable management of agricultural crops, with a view to applying Precision Agriculture. Find out more
