"Laverda S.p.A. has been a leading company for 141 years in the field of combine harvesters, founded by Pietro Laverda (1845-1930) in 1873 in San Giorgio di Perlena (VI), but since 1884 based in Breganze. Since March 2011, the company has been owned by the AGCO group, while since 2007 the ownership was divided between the Argo Tractors group and AGCO itself. The Breganze plant covers a total area of 220,000 square meters, 60,000 of which are covered, employing about 800 employees, 68% of whom are dedicated to the two production lines: combine harvesters and cutting platforms.
