The COMBY pruning collector-shredder is a towed agricultural machine capable of collecting and shredding residues from any type of pruning. The produced models are 3: COMBY TR 140, COMBY TR 160, COMBY TR 200, with working widths of 140, 160, and 200 cm, respectively. The machine consists of: - A front collector of helical shape, with rotation opposite to the direction of travel, which picks up pruning residues directly from the ground and directs them to the shredding unit. - A horizontal rotor with oscillating hammers, designed for shredding pruning residues with a diameter of up to 90 mm. - A metal grid (optional of different sizes) located between the shredding unit and the rear container, which regulates the desired size of the shredded material. - A rear container with pantograph lifting, which can reach a maximum height of 250 cm, allowing unloading on the ground, in larger carts, or other containers. The homokinetic PTO shaft is supplied with the machine. The machine picks up the residues through the front collector; subsequently, they are conveyed to the shredding unit. The shredded material is pushed through the grid into the container, which, once filled, is emptied thanks to the pantograph lifting. Once shredded, the BIOMASS could be used for compost production or for energy purposes, such as fuel in small heating plants or suitable thermo-electric power plants. An additional advantage is to have the soil free from pruning residues, eliminating dangerous contaminations, molds, and diseases.
